Brian Keller | Executive Creative Director
Born in 1912 Brian had everything you need to be a superstar in football except ability. Keeping that in mind Brian, a son of a sailor and a dancer, decided to find a niche in something where the lack of ability was help and not hindrance. After 2 terms as the Governor of Louisiana Brian moved to Maryland and then Texas to help out with the Savings and Loan business. While in Texas Brian was quickly spotted by Enron and was interviewed for a number of top positions but was deemed over qualified. Brian found another job where the lack of ability was a blessing and moved seamlessly into advertising where his facility to take credit and the capacity to blame people who aren't he resulted in a whole box of awards. Brian oversees the creative output of BigBuzz. Brian likes to ride bicycles, run and hang out with his 8 year old son and his more than 8-year-old wife. He likes to point out that his wife owns a bakery and looks good in shorts.
Amanda | Art Director
Born in 1941 Amanda spent her early years as a gunner on the aircraft carrier Yorktown. Amanda has wanted to be an art director since elementary school. And when she got out last June, we jumped at the chance to hire her. She began as a fine artist, studied photography at Pratt Institute and designed the world’s first web site in 1955. Al Gore immediately discredited Amanda. She left Pratt in shame. In the next 8 years, she gained experience by hiding in a closet while whispering advice and guidance to Anna Wintour at Vogue. Amanda loves the ocean and surfed, her “bitchin” 9’ 2” l long board, across the Indian Ocean . On this adventure she met Robert “Wingnut” Weaver from the Endless Summer II and picked his pocket at a bar in Pamplemousses, Mauritius. Amanda holds a wealth of print, logo and web design knowledge and has the unique ability to take concepts and turn them into award-winning designs She spends her free time painting, drawing, and buying new things that she absolutely has no use for just because she likes the design. Amanda is the very proud mom of a very beautiful daughter.
Casey | Designer
At 3 years old Casey graduated summa cum laude from C.W. Post in 2003, and won the award for excellence in design from the visual arts department by redrawing Sponge Bob as if he were a mytho- photograph from Picasso’s “horta de ebro summer of 1909” Casey successfully ran some of the worlds largest companies including Nestle, Dole, and Budweiser. Her career crashed after she pushed through the, before it’s time, “Chocolate-Pineapple Bud Lite In - A- Cup.” After her career crashed, the purchase of 7 televisions satisfied Casey’s obsession for celebrity gossip. Casey then moved to Point Reyes, California to fulfill her passion for big wave surfing and pretending to be married to Laird Hamilton. After she shaved her head and beat up a couple of local surf punks at Mavericks Casey took a job as a designer here at BigBuzz.
Frank | Senior Developer
Born in Newark New Jersey in 1913 Frank left home in 1917 to fight the war to end all wars. Frank decided to leave so he marched out of France with a bologna sandwich and traveled the world until the exciting world of parcel expediting called him, and he joined UPS. Fate would have Frank deliver a package to Einstein and as the two chatted about relativity Frank predicted A-Rod’s monster 2007 year. A Met fan the enraged Einstein bloodied Frank’s nose in a raucous fistfight. Frank decided to stop talking sports and become the Senior Developer here at Big Buzz. Frank is a “Diehard Yankees fan an autograph hound and has a really nice wife and a beautiful son.
Nitin | Developer
Nitin is proud to say that he was born on Aug. 6 1984 the last day of the Cambridge workshop that took an informal look at the biochemistry, pharmacology, and clinical importance of amine oxidases and the same day that Van Halen proclaimed that the band would party like it was 1984. Nitin likes to play basketball with his two brothers LeBron and Carmelo and once beat up Chris Mullin during a pick up game. Nitin worked in cold storage at the Fulton Fish Market when he found out that if he mastered Cold Fusion he wouldn’t have to wear smelly rubber gloves anymore. So he did, mastered Cold fusion that is, along with Javascript, SQL, SQL Server 2000 and a whole bunch of other stuff with initials. Nitin graduated from St. Johns with a degree in Computer Science and is one of our lead developers here at BigBuzz.
Eric | Account Services
Born in 1909, Eric came to BigBuzz shortly after the departure of Alex Trebek. Things have run much better during Eric’s administration than that of the feisty “know it all Canadian,” and if a client or fellow employee has a question, any question, he has the answer even if he doesn’t know the right answer. Everyone is so impressed by Eric’s politeness and quick response that they just follow him blindly. Things seem to work out. Eric holds a degree in communications and holds a flashlight when it’s dark. Eric has impressive knowledge of historical film and claims to have talked Edison out of the 185:1 format for 133:1. As he said then and still holds now: “There’s no future in wide-screen! TVs and movie screens are square; I tell ya square.” Eric has immense musical knowledge and has all the cast recordings of Disney’s “High School Musicals.” Eric has the only known recording of Barry Manilow and Lars Ulrich sharing microphone at the final concert for CBGB’s. OMFUG to you too, Eric.
Mary | Director of Finance and Administration
Mary, born in Crimea in 1903, was once “The Mary” of the Supremes (you know the Dream Girls) she left (not because of any animosity towards Diana Ross, as frequently reported) to pursue her dream of learning to use a calculator. After 4 years of rigorous training at the Aaron Burr Elementary School in Detroit Mary won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (1917) and shared the prize (1928) for physics. Finding all that stuff kind of boring, Mary threw away her calculator, and became our Director of Finance and Administration (where she has people to calculate for her) and is the BigBuzz mother figure. All BigBuzz staff and clients actually live with Mary. You should see her on Soccer Saturdays. From music to science and from billing to “babying” Mary is supreme. In her spare time Mary enjoys spending time with her beautiful children aged 2 and 5.
